Yes, it's mid-summer and plants are fruiting and flowering with abandon. However, that doesn't mean it's too late to get a few fruiting plants into the ground. You can also try a large pot or two for fruits this season. The trick is to choose varieties that fruit more than once a season, and love the high heat of summer. Check out your local garden center. If these are not available, ask them for a suitable substitute. One that produces more than one crop in a growing season.
