Passions in the world of Camellia lovers (like the rose and peony worlds, too) seem to fall into two categories.
There are those who crave the glamorous, formal, big, double Camellia varieties with their wedding-dress-like layers and layers of petals. And then there are those who adore the graphic simplicity of a Camellia with single petals that have an almost wild look to the them as seen in this beautiful garden in Northern California. (Kona, the dog, appears to be a fan of the later!)
